How to read the live EOS price
The widget above is the quickest way to answer “how much is EOS worth right now”. It shows the price in USD, changes over 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, market cap, 24-hour trading volume, circulating supply and A’s own all-time high. Use the range buttons on the chart to zoom from 24 hours out to the full history.
Three things are worth knowing before you trust any EOS price figure:
- The ticker is now A. After the 2025 rebrand to Vaulta, EOS converted 1:1 into A. When people say “EOS price”, the market they actually mean is A.
- Data sites kept ghost pages. CoinGecko’s legacy
eospage and CoinMarketCap’s old EOS page are still online, with circulating supply and market cap set to zero. The live data lives on the Vaulta (A) pages. - Small venues can show odd prices. Some exchanges list stale or illiquid pairs. Stick to aggregated prices or high-volume markets.
If the rebrand is new to you, our EOS to Vaulta explainer covers it in a few minutes.
EOS to USD: the key price milestones
EOS is one of the clearest examples of the ICO-era boom and bust. It went from one of the most hyped launches in crypto to a token worth a fraction of a cent on the dollar. Here are the moments that defined its chart, using historical data only.
EOS price history, from ICO to Vaulta
- 2017–2018The year-long ICO
Block.one sold 900 million tokens between June 2017 and June 2018, raising about $4.1 billion. The sale was priced in ETH, so dollar figures vary slightly by source.
- Apr 2018All-time high of about $22.9
Hype before the June 2018 mainnet launch drove EOS to $22.89 on CoinMarketCap (29 April) — $22.71 on CoinGecko.
- Sep 2019SEC settlement
Block.one paid a $24 million penalty over its unregistered ICO. The regulatory cloud hung over the token for years.
- Jan 2021Larimer leaves Block.one
CTO Dan Larimer announced his departure; EOS fell roughly 20–30% within a day, depending on the source.
- 2024New tokenomics
Producers capped supply at 2.1 billion and cancelled about 80% of planned emissions — a fundamental change, though not a lasting price catalyst.
- Mar 2025Vaulta announcement
EOS jumped about 30% to roughly $0.65 on the rebrand news.
- May 2025A token peak
The new A token reached about $0.78 shortly after the swap opened.
- Jun 2026All-time low
A fell to about $0.058 on 6 June 2026, roughly 99.7% below the 2018 high.

EOS market cap and supply, explained
Price alone tells you very little. A token at $0.10 can be “cheap” or wildly expensive depending on how many tokens exist. That is what market cap captures.
| Metric | Formula | EOS (A) input |
|---|---|---|
| Market cap | Price × circulating supply | ≈ 1.68 billion A |
| Fully diluted value | Price × max supply | 2.1 billion A |
| Volume / market cap | 24h volume ÷ market cap | See live widget |
| Drawdown from ATH | 1 − price ÷ $22.9 | About 99% |
A quick example: at a hypothetical price of $0.10, the market cap would be about $168 million and the fully diluted value $210 million. Because the full 2.1 billion supply is already minted and future rewards are paid out of reserves, the gap between those two figures is mostly tokens held in system accounts, staking reserves and foundation wallets rather than tokens still to be created. The full breakdown is on our EOS tokenomics page.
What the EOS all-time high really tells you
You’ll see two slightly different numbers for the EOS peak: $22.89 on CoinMarketCap, recorded on 29 April 2018, and $22.71 on CoinGecko, a day earlier. Neither is wrong. Each aggregator uses its own set of exchanges and weighting, so intraday spikes on individual venues are captured differently. For everyday use, “about $22.9 in late April 2018” is the fair summary.
The more interesting point is timing. The peak came about six weeks before the mainnet even launched, while the ICO was still running. In other words, the highest price EOS ever reached was paid for a promise, not for a working network. Everything since — the SEC settlement, the community’s break with Block.one, the Antelope fork, the 2024 supply cap and the Vaulta rebrand — has been the market re-pricing that promise against what was actually delivered.
A also has its own, much smaller records: a high of about $0.78 in late May 2025, right after the swap opened, and a low of about $0.058 on 6 June 2026. If a chart shows a sudden “gap” around May 2025, it can reflect the switch from EOS to A data rather than a real crash — check which listing the chart uses.
What moves the EOS price?
Broad crypto market direction
Like most altcoins, A tends to move with Bitcoin and overall market sentiment. A strong Bitcoin rally can lift EOS even when nothing has changed on the network, and a market-wide sell-off drags it down.
Exchange listings and delistings
Liquidity matters. Coinbase’s delisting of EOS, Bitfinex reportedly ending A trading in July 2026, and earlier exits by OANDA, CoinJar and Coinpass all reduced the number of places US and UK buyers can trade. On the other hand, A trades on Binance, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, KuCoin, Upbit and others. Our EOS exchanges guide keeps track.
Supply and staking
About 406 million A are locked in REX staking, which has a 21-day unstake period. Large stake or unstake waves change how much supply can hit the market quickly. The next issuance halving, on 1 June 2028, cuts the annual rate from about 3.6% to 1.8%. See the EOS staking guide.
Real adoption — or the lack of it
Vaulta’s Web3 banking plans, partnerships such as World Liberty Financial, and DeFi activity are the long-term drivers. Total value locked on Vaulta is around $39 million on DefiLlama, mostly in native staking. If that grows meaningfully, it would be a real signal.

Where the EOS price data comes from
Our widget uses CoinGecko’s public API, which averages prices across many exchanges and weights them by volume. That smooths out odd prints on small venues. CoinMarketCap uses a similar approach and lists Vaulta under ID 36462. If you trade, the price you actually get is the one on your exchange’s order book, which can differ slightly from the aggregate — especially in fast markets or on low-volume pairs.
Is EOS cheap at today’s price?
A low unit price doesn’t make a token cheap. EOS fell about 99% from its peak because the market re-priced its prospects, not because it went “on sale”. To judge value, look at what the network is used for, how much value is locked in it, how many exchanges support it and how the supply schedule plays out. We lay out bull, base and bear scenarios — with honest maths on targets like $10 or $1,000 — on the EOS price prediction page. And before buying, read is EOS safe.

Frequently asked questions
What is the EOS price today?
Prices move every second, so we don’t print a static number. The live widget at the top of this page pulls the current A (formerly EOS) price in USD from CoinGecko, along with market cap, 24-hour volume and change.
What was the EOS all-time high?
About $22.9, reached at the end of April 2018. CoinMarketCap records $22.89 on 29 April 2018; CoinGecko shows $22.71 on 28 April. The A token’s own high was about $0.78 in late May 2025.
Why does one site show EOS at a different price or zero market cap?
Both CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap kept their old “EOS” pages after the rebrand, with circulating supply set to zero. The live market data sits on the “Vaulta (A)” pages. Always check you are looking at Vaulta (A).
What is the EOS market cap?
Market cap is the price multiplied by circulating supply, roughly 1.68 billion A. The widget above calculates it live. Fully diluted value uses the 2.1 billion max supply instead.
What is the lowest price EOS has traded at?
Both EOS and A hit an all-time low of about $0.058 on 6 June 2026, according to CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.
How much did EOS cost at launch?
The 2017–2018 ICO ran for a full year and was priced in ETH, so there was no single dollar launch price. See our EOS history page for the ICO details.
Is EOS price the same as Vaulta price?
Yes. Since the 1:1 swap, “EOS price” in practice means the price of A. One A equals one old EOS.
