EOS exchanges: where to trade Vaulta (A) after the rebrand

After the 2025 rebrand, EOS trades as A. Most big exchanges made the switch; a few — Coinbase among them — dropped the token instead. Here is where EOS is traded today, verified against live market data.

TL;DR

  • EOS is traded as A. Binance, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, KuCoin and Upbit all have live A markets.
  • For US users: Kraken (A/USD), Binance.US (A/USDT) and Crypto.com Exchange (A/USD).
  • Coinbase delisted EOS and never listed A. OANDA, CoinJar and Coinpass also dropped EOS.
  • On-chain, you can swap A on DEXs such as Alcor and Defibox straight from your wallet.

The short answer: EOS trades as A

If you go to an exchange and type “EOS” into the search box, there’s a good chance you’ll find nothing. That doesn’t mean the token disappeared. In May 2025 the EOS token began converting 1:1 into A, the ticker of the rebranded Vaulta network, and almost every large exchange migrated its listing. You now search for “Vaulta” or “A”.

We checked live markets through CoinGecko’s ticker data and each exchange’s public API. The picture: A has dollar, stablecoin, euro and Korean won markets on major venues, while a handful of platforms — most notably Coinbase — chose to delist rather than migrate. For the background, see why EOS became Vaulta.

Other venues with A pairs in CoinGecko’s data include Bitget, Gate, MEXC, HTX, Poloniex, BingX, XT, LBank, Bitrue and Pionex. “Listed” means we confirmed an active A market but didn’t find a detailed swap announcement from that exchange. Ready to buy? Our how to buy EOS guide walks you through it.

EOS on Binance

Binance is where most A volume trades. It supported the swap from day one, converted users’ EOS balances automatically, opened A deposits and withdrawals, and launched A spot markets — including A/BTC and A/ETH — on 28 May 2025. A/USDT is the main pair. If you held EOS on Binance before the rebrand, you now hold the same amount of A; there was nothing to do.

US residents can’t use Binance’s global platform. Binance.US is a separate company with its own listings; it announced support for the swap and lists A/USDT.

Coinbase delisted EOS: what happened

Coinbase is the biggest name to walk away. When the swap went live on 14 May 2025, Coinbase said it would not support the migration and told users to swap through a self-custody wallet themselves. In November 2025 it announced that EOS trading would be suspended. Today Coinbase’s own exchange API shows the EOS-USD product as delisted with trading disabled, and there is no A market.

If you bought EOS on Coinbase years ago and forgot about it:

  1. Log in and check your EOS balance and any messages about the delisting.
  2. Look for a withdrawal option. If you can withdraw, send the EOS to a self-custody wallet such as Anchor — set up an EOS account first.
  3. Convert it to A using our EOS to A swap guide. There is no swap deadline.
  4. If you can’t withdraw, contact Coinbase support in writing and keep a record.

Kraken and other options for US and UK traders

Kraken is the most straightforward choice for many English-speaking buyers because it offers a direct A/USD pair as well as A/EUR. Kraken closed its old EOS markets on 14 July 2025 and credited A one-for-one by 21 July 2025, so long-time Kraken users were migrated automatically.

Crypto.com Exchange also lists A/USD. Elsewhere you’ll mostly trade against stablecoins: buy USDT or USDC first, then use an A/USDT or A/USDC market. In the UK, check that the platform is allowed to serve UK customers — the product list on a global website isn’t always what UK users get.

Exchanges don’t just list EOS — some help run it

Here’s a detail most exchange guides miss. On EOS, the 21 block producers that run the network are elected by token holders, and exchanges hold huge amounts of tokens on behalf of customers. Two of today’s top-21 producers are exchange-operated: binancestake and big.one.

That cuts both ways. Exchange producers bring professional infrastructure and a commercial interest in keeping the chain healthy. But it also concentrates influence: an exchange that votes with customer-held tokens, and produces blocks itself, has more say over protocol changes than most independent operators. Protocol upgrades need 15 of the 21 producers to agree. It’s one reason critics call EOS centralized, and something to keep in mind when you choose where to hold your A. Our DPoS and block producers guide explains how voting and producer pay work.

The BtcTurk anomaly and other stale “EOS” listings

A few listings still carry the old ticker. CoinGecko’s legacy EOS page now shows only BtcTurk, with EOS/TRY and EOS/USDT markets. Their prices track A closely, which suggests BtcTurk is trading A under the old name, but we couldn’t confirm which on-chain token backs those deposits. More generally: if you see an “EOS” market with very low volume or a frozen price, treat it with suspicion. Some exchange APIs still return A prices from years ago with zero volume.

Centralized exchange or DEX?

You don’t need a centralized exchange to trade A. Native decentralized exchanges run directly on the Vaulta chain and let you swap from your own wallet.

Centralized exchanges

  • Deep liquidity and tight spreads on A/USDT
  • Fiat deposits by bank transfer or card
  • Customer support and account recovery
  • But: you don’t hold the keys, and listings can be withdrawn

DEXs (Alcor, Defibox)

  • Trade straight from Anchor or another wallet
  • No sign-up, no ID checks
  • Access to smaller Vaulta tokens
  • But: thinner liquidity, no fiat, and mistakes are on you

Alcor Exchange combines an AMM with an order book; Defibox offers swaps, the USN stablecoin and lending. Both showed on-chain activity when we checked. Browse them in our EOS dApp directory, and set up a wallet first with the EOS wallet guide.

How to choose an EOS exchange

  • Is it available where you live? Check the terms and your national regulator’s register. Don’t use a VPN to get around restrictions.
  • Is there real volume on A? Look at 24-hour volume on the A pair, not just whether it exists.
  • Does it support A withdrawals on the Vaulta network? Look for withdrawals to a 12-character account name.
  • How do you fund it? Bank transfer is cheapest; cards are faster but costlier.
  • What did it do during the swap? Exchanges that handled the migration smoothly — Binance, Kraken, KuCoin — showed they actively support the asset.

Depositing A to an exchange

When you send A from your wallet to an exchange, the deposit page will usually show an account name and a memo. The memo tells the exchange which customer the deposit belongs to. Forget it and your funds can be delayed or lost. Always send a small test first, and never send old EOS to an exchange that only accepts A — swap it first. You can check any transfer in a block explorer.

Frequently asked questions

Where is EOS traded now?

As A (Vaulta) on Binance, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, KuCoin, Bitget, Gate, MEXC, HTX, WhiteBIT, Upbit, Bithumb, Crypto.com Exchange, Binance.US and others, plus on-chain DEXs such as Alcor and Defibox.

Did Coinbase delist EOS?

Yes. Coinbase didn’t support the EOS → A migration and announced in November 2025 that EOS would be suspended; its public API now lists the EOS-USD market as delisted, with trading disabled. There is no A market on Coinbase.

Is EOS still on Binance?

Yes, as A. Binance completed the swap for its users and opened A spot trading in late May 2025. The main pair is A/USDT.

Which US exchanges list EOS?

Our checks found A/USD on Kraken and Crypto.com Exchange and A/USDT on Binance.US. Availability can vary by state, so confirm on the exchange before you sign up.

Why does my exchange still show “EOS” with no volume?

Some platforms left old EOS listings in place after the swap, or delisted without removing the page. Real liquidity has moved to A. Check the trading volume, and if in doubt, contact the exchange.

Can I trade EOS without a centralized exchange?

Yes. On-chain DEXs such as Alcor Exchange and Defibox let you swap A directly from a wallet like Anchor, without an exchange account. Liquidity is thinner than on large exchanges. See our EOS dApp directory.
